New Looks from Marc Jacobs
Bergdorf's had some great new looks from Marc Jacobs on their site today. Here are some of my favorites!Oh and be sure to check them all out because some of them totally remind me of being in the third grade. Is that a good thing? I don't know but I did enjoy my fair share of Elmer's glue during that period of my life (just kidding, seriously glue so wasn't my style).

Rogan for Target at Barney's

This morning I woke up feeling surprisingly good for a Saturday morning so I decided to head over to Barney's to see if there was anything left from the Rogan preview. I knew the chances were slim for good things to be left (and good things in my size) but I just couldn't wait until Sunday when the collection will available at Target stores. Plus Barney's is a bit more glamorous than Target isn't it?
I sifted through the racks and picked up anything I could find in my size to try on. I didn't get to try on too many things because there were mostly XL's left. After trying a few things on I decided to buy a pair of black skinny jeans, which have lightly painted green leopard spots down the leg and I also purchased black and white leopard print booty shorts. Both pieces are really, really cute!

I am planning on going to Target tomorrow (I hope) to see if I can scrounge up some more stuff. If not I will just buy online. I felt that the clothes were cut pretty true to size and the quality is in line with Target's other GO International collections (good but not great).
If anyone goes to Target tomorrow please leave me a comment so I can know what you bought. Oh and here are some pictures that my co-worker took when she hit the preview on Friday.

Rogan for Target's Go International collection
I have been having a little Go International fatigue from Target. I mean a lot of the collections are exciting but the last few have to been ho hum to say the least. However on May 18th the newest installment of Go International is coming out and man am I excited.
Rogan will be debuting their collection at Target stores and by the looks of this short video it is going to sell out fast. I know I will be scratching at the door Sunday morning because I have to score those leopard print shorts. What do you all think, are you excited about the new line?

Honey I shrunk my boobs!
Seriously, where did those things go?Last night I packed up my gym bag like I usually do and of course threw in a bra (except for that one time). When I got dressed in the locker room this morning I realized I could easily fit like 4 boobs in there, my bra was too damn big! Something had to be done ... I needed new bras.
So at lunch today I headed over to Victoria's Secret to get properly measured for a bra. After being harassed by an extremely odd salesperson to sign up for that damn Angels card, I found a normal salesperson who sized me up.
She CLAIMED I was a 34B. A 'B' was she out of her F&$#'n mind??? In the past year I have gone from a 34D to a 36C and now to a 34B?? No freaking way Miss Thang! Once I got over the shock of being told I am basically flat chested I picked up a bunch of bras and went into a fitting room (only to be harassed again about that damn Angels card).
Btw ... My how Victoria's Secret has changed. I found like 10 bras that were actually cute. Now thankfully when I tried them on they were a bit too small, so I got the lady to get me a bunch of 34C's.
Yeah, much better. I just can't handle walking around in a B. Not yet anyways.
Oh yeah, here is what I bought ...
Bra #1- I picked up in black with purple and pinks roses, looks like my tat
Bra #2- I got it with pink polka dots and peace signs

Gossip Girl Fashion: Jenny's Hoody

It's no news that I watch Gossip Girl for the fashion. I watch, I pause, I watch, I sketch, I take notes, I scour the web ... it's quit a process but in the end isn't it worth it. Usually for me just seeing and knowing is enough but this past week I totally fell in love with this hoody that Jenny was wearing.
I saw that color blocked patchwork magic and knew it was Marc Jacobs. I told myself, "Lauren, if you are right and if it's under $300 you should get it." Well, I was right and it is under $300 ($228). I found it on Nordstrom.com and immediately put on my shoes and headed out.
I wanted to see the hoodie in person to make sure I really loved it. Here is the problem ... it's only available online, Nordstrom.com specifically. Now I am nervous and having silly doubts.
- Is $228 too much for a hoodie? Yeah probably but I will also get a lot of wear out of it.
- Are the colors too drab for spring? Maybe a little but I can wear this hoodie with cut off shorts and a white tank ... how cute is that. Plus my office gets mad cold so I will need a hoodie.
- Will this go on sale 5 minutes after I buy it? Or will it sell out and I will want to kick my own ass for not buying it?

Dear Fashion Kitty, Hanger help
Just discovered your site. Love it love it.
Hanger question. I too am passionate about the slimline velvet hangers from Bed Bath & Beyond, but am curious.....what do you use for your jackets & blazers? These don't seem quite heavy enough....or am I wrong?
I actually haven't had a huge problem using these hangers for my jackets and blazers but if you are I recommend using another set of hangers that are also from Bed Bath and Beyond.
The best option are the "heavy weight" hangers and cost $5.99 for a set of 12. I have also found (and own) these same hangers in fun colors like green and pink. The hangers are super heavy duty and will stand up to any type of coat. The only downside to them is that they are plastic so they can be a bit slippery.

Dear Fashion Kitty, Jeans and Jumpers ...
I have two questions...
but I can't find any light-gray ones for a reasonable price...I know that American Eagle used to have them, but I don't think they do anymore... I'm starting to think that it's impossible to find a pair for less than $70! I know if I wanted to pay, like, $200 for a pair like the ones in the pictures I could find some, but I just can't spend that much money for jeans...Do you have any suggestions?
Gotta love a pair of gray skinny jeans! I have a pair from J Brand that I just love. Here are some inexpensive options for you ...
Second, I have also been looking for a black jumper/shirt/dress with buttons on the straps like this one:

which is from Target...except it is out of stock. Do you have any idea where I could find one like this for a reasonable price? Thank you so much!
Very cute! Here are some options for you ...
- Velvet brand jumper available at Bluefly for $66
- This one by 525 America is also cute for about the same price

Dear Fashion Kitty, What was that site?
Awhile back I remember reading a blog that you had at link to a site where you can go and drag the clothes to a blank palate to design an outfit. You could even choose sunglasses and purses. I have been searching your blog by keywords and haven't been able to find anything. I have also tried google but to no avail.Yep, I know exactly what you are talking about! It's Polyvore :)

Dear Fashion Kitty, Leighton Meester's Dress

I was wondering if you might be able to tell me where I can find this dress worn by Leighton Meester or at least some close alternatives.
The dress Leighton is wearing is by Julie Haus and is on sale at BlueFly for a little under $245 (marked down from $480).
I love this vintage inspired dress because it's very sweet and innocent (I know so not me). The soft ribbon belt makes it very flattering as it nips in the waist. This dress is perfect for a lunch date or a day at the office.

Dear Fashion Kitty, College Outfits
First of all I absolutely love your blog and am a regular reader. I was wondering if you could help me out .. I need some inspiration and ideas on what I should wear to college. I am a first year college student but could really do with some well put together outfits. I'm sure you could help there! Any ideas?Dressing for college is fun, especially in the first year. You can kind of decide what you want your style to be before you head off to a new land and go for it. It is also a time for fashion mistakes too, so tread carefully.
I remember my first year of college ... I was into the party scene so I wore big ridiculous pants, tiny tees and bracelets up to my elbows. Those were the days. I looked pretty ridiculous but the one thing my outfits had were ease. I could throw them on without thinking a I looked fine (considering).
I am not advising you to dress like that, at all. What I am advising is that you dress in clothes that are easy and casual. Here is what you need:
1.) A great pair of jeans: Great jeans may be pricey but if you have a couple pairs you can take them from the classroom to the club with the quick change of a shirt. Quality jeans look less sloppy than some cheap-o jeans from Old Navy too. I recommend a trouser cut, those will look great in the classroom.
2.) Ballet flats: You know I don't typically endorse flats but when you are running around campus they are a staple. Get a cute pair that are comfortable. You can wear them with dresses, skinny jeans, shorts ... pretty much anything.
3.) Jersey, jersey, jersey: Grab up as many jersey dresses and tops as you can. They can be inexpensive and no one will really notice. Accessorize them to make them more day or to make them go into night. Added bonus, they don't wrinkle -- perfect for those all nighters.
4.) Accessories: Get hats for bad hair days (no baseball caps), giant beaded necklaces for some extra pop, and a fashionable bag to carry your laptop and books.
Here are some looks to mimic (from Net-a-Porter):

Please stay away from:
1.) Track suits
2.) Over-sized tee shirts
3.) Pajamas (you don't know how many people in college thinks thats okay)

Patricia Field for Diet Coke
It seems like all of my Twitter friends are going off of caffeine or at least cutting back. I went all day yesterday without caffeine, which was pretty impressive. Now I am suddenly having a craving for Diet Coke, not because I miss it (I don't) it's because this bottle is freaking fly!
Patricia Field has designed these sweet limited edition bottles for Diet Coke.Patricia Field explains: “The ‘diet Coke’ City Collection captures today's modern women, confidant, glamorous, sexy and more in charge of their own lives, and represents the areas of life that are most important to them such as: ‘career’, ‘passion’, ‘love’ and ‘fashion’. In addition the designs represent ‘diet Coke’ as a sexy, sassy brand perfectly compatible with today's woman.
The gold bottle represents ‘Career’, the red bottle ‘Passion’, the pink bottle ‘Love’, and the turquoise bottle ‘Fashion’.

Dear Fashion Kitty, Heidi Montag's Jeans
I ran across your page & I think you might be able to help me out. I am desperately trying to find a pair of jeans for my wife Heidi Montag wore on an episode of "The Hills"...My wife has mentioned the jeans a couple of times & I would love to surprise her with them for her birthday. I believe Heidi wore the jeans on season 2.My wife describe them as blue jeans with a Kanji inscription either sewn on the back pocket or somewhat near the back on the side of the jeans. I realize this is a long shot, please let me know if you have any ideas of what brand these could be.
Thank you so much for your time!!!

Yikes, long shot is right! If you had a picture that would be helpful but without that I am as stumped as you are. Perhaps they are Antik denim or J & Company jeans?? I really couldn't tell you with much confidence though, so sorry.
Kittens can you help this reader in need ???

Clean eating is the only way to eat
I think you all know this by now but I love to diet. I know, that statement is sick and twisted, it barely makes sense but it's true. I am always trying out a new fitness craze or a new way to eat, something about self torture. Whatever.Anyways ...
Ever this past October when I started working out with a trainer at Burn Fitness I have heard one thing come out of his mouth like a trillion times -- "Eat Clean". Well apparently he knows what he is talking about because it works. I have been eating clean but probably not as clean as possible, so I picked up this book to help me along: The Eat-Clean Diet: Fast Fat-Loss that lasts Forever!

The book is great, it mostly just hammers in the stuff we already know ... lean protein, "good" carbs, fruits and veggies, plenty of water but I also learned about somethings that I didn't know before -- stuff about supplements.
I have been curious about supplements for a while but was a little too unclear to really "go there". After reading this book I went to Whole Foods and bought some of the favorites from the book.
This more I made my supplement rich protein shake and let me tell you ... it was the bomb. Now taste-wise it was no Jamba Juice but really, Jamba is just pure sugar and shit. My shake was tasty, gave me insane amounts of energy, and kept my hunger away for hours.
Go clean eating!! I will return to normal fashion content in a moment ;)
I am a self proclaimed diet junkie but really the only way to live is clean.

True Religion Bandit Jeans ... made em work!
I broke a cardinal rule of fashion the other day. I ordered jeans in a size smaller than I usually get because I loved the damn jeans and it was the only size (and pair) left, oh and they were on sale ... oh and I wanted some extra motivation to lose 3 lbs. Yeah, it's fucked up isn't it. Those are all of the things you AREN'T supposed to do when it comes to shopping. I also bought the jeans online so I had no idea how they would look.I ordered the jeans from FashionChataeu, which is a place I highly recommend ordering from. The shipping was fast and they offered a 15% off code (even worked on sale merchandise).
Anyways, back to the jeans. I had the jeans delivered to my office since I am never at home. As soon as I got them I ran into the bathroom to see if they would fit without the assistance of Crisco. Guess what ... they fit!!! Okay, admittedly not completely comfortably but they freaking fit.
But they still needed some breaking in.

I broke em in alright. My crazy ass wore them to sleep! Yes. Sick, sick twisted little FashionKitty put her size 26 ass into a pair of size 25's and tucked herself into bed for the night. Laugh all you want but they are now broken into perfection.
Well enough of my nonsense, the jeans are the True Religion Joey Flap Pocket Bandit Jeans. If you want them too the only place online that seems to have any left is National Jean Company. However they aren't on sale ($262) and have size 25, 30, 31, 32 left.

Ridin' Calacanis Style
I know I blog a lot about ThisNext here but mostly about "stuff" I keep the work stuff off of this blog BUT today was a particularly thrilling so I must share ...We had a pretty kick ass meeting today, which Jason Calacanis was a part of. In the meeting one of my fabulous ideas was crowned "Best Idea of the Day" so I got a prize :) What was that prize you ask? No, not Christian Louboutin shoes (that would have been nice) instead I got the next best thing -- a ride in the Tesla.

I mean who am I to pass up a ride in a fast car, so I hopped in the car to claim my prize. Ummm, that car is FAST! Fast like a roller coaster fast. Fast as in "I might have pissed my pants" fast (I didn't, really ... don't go spreading rumors).

It was a fun ride.
Oh and when I say fun what I really mean is it's fun to still be alive right now because I really thought I was gonna die for a minute there.

Cheap Turned Chic - Forever 21 Club Clothes
Since I have been really hitting the party circuit I have found that my small amount of "party" clothes have run out. Due to my phobia of repeating outfits (at least outfits were photos will be taken), I need new party clothes.I can't justify paying hundreds of dollars on a single dress that will be worn once and during that wearing will probably have Red Bull spilled on it and will be burned by a passing cigarette. I need cheap and I need to be able to make it chic.
So guess where I went?
I went to the most horrifying place on earth because my friend simply loves it ... Forever 21. Gasp, the horror, I know. I did manage to find 3 cute tops that I have declared dresses. They were all about $20 and I have to say, they look pretty good.
Here are some pictures of me trying them on looking (while like a hot mess) right before bed last night.
What do you think?

I can't stand how much I want this bag. Maybe it's because I saw my new favorite character on Gossip Girl carrying it (Georgina Sparks) or maybe because it just kicks major ass, I don't know.
